Adhesion is important with most paints but has to be perfect for POR-15 to achieve its maximum effectiveness. The degreasing power of POR-15® Cleaner Degreaser coupled with the gentle etching properties of POR-15® Metal Prep make for the ideal treatment for promoting optimal adhesion of POR-15 Rust Preventative Coatings.

POR-15® Cleaner Degreaser cleans and degreases in one application without leaving residues, noxious fumes or flammable solvents. No other cleaner works as fast or as well. It makes petroleum-based cleaners almost obsolete because POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser can be diluted with water up to 3, 4, 5 and even 10 times its volume while remaining more potent than other cleaners. POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser removes grease, oil, mildew, algae, musty odors, soap films, wax. Use it to clean canvas, vinyl, nylon, holding tanks, grease traps, auto parts and more. POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser contradicts all accepted theories about metal prep products: it's water-based, not solvent-based, and it cleans without leaving residues. In laboratory adhesion tests, POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser far exceeds every other prep product found in the marketplace.

POR-15® Metal Prep provides the best adhesion for POR-15® Rust Preventive Coating on any metal surface, including aluminum and shiny polished metal surfaces. The simple process gently etches metal, creating an ideal anchor pattern for coatings such as POR-15® Rust Preventive Coating, while simultaneously leaving a zinc phosphate coating to insure chemical bonding of paint and steel. Avoid other preps that can leave harmful residues which prevent proper adhesion. After thoroughly degreasing your work piece with POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser, apply environmentally safe POR-15 Metal Prep to neutralize any rust and etch any clean bare metal. This will allow better adhesion of POR-15® Rust Preventive Coatings or any other coating. POR-15 Metal Prep is not caustic, corrosive, toxic or flammable.

Includes:

1 quart of POR-15 40104 Cleaner Degreaser

1 quart of POR-15 40204 Metal Prep

POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser Applications:

Engines

Transmissions

Grease Traps

Frames

Suspension Components

Holding and Water Tanks

Galleys

Rubber, Nylon, Vinyl

Floor Pans

Water Line Scum

Fuel Tanks

Clothing

Removes rust stains from porcelain sinks, toilets, and tubs

And more!

POR-15 Metal Prep Features:

Easy to use one-step process

Coats metal with zinc phosphate

No harmful residues

Insures perfect paint adhesion

Reusable

Provides perfect base for all paints

Removes surface rust in minutes

Gives better welding conductivity

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0681/0222/6056/files/por-15-40104-40204-metal-prep-cleaner-degreaser-treatment-kit_1.png?v=1791382429
